Your resume is slick, your application was spotless, you've caught a potential recruiter's attention, and now they want to get to know you better.
Gone are the days when candidates had to wait for hours in offices to clear the interview levels. In the current scenario of an increasingly active digital world, many introductory and some final interviews are being conducted across a wide range of mediums, including phone interviews. This has made the recruitment process easier for both the employer and the candidate.
Nothing compares to interviewing for your dream job, where you can lounge around in your normal dress, possibly surf the internet at the same time, or even describe your status as "my favourite Scooby-Doo Jammy's ending my interview!" Buh…..wait! This does not mean that you should not take the phone interview as seriously as any other customary interview.
Just because this isn't a physical interview with a potential employer doesn't imply that you toss all of our hard-wired knowledge about interview procedures out the window. Standing out in front of a potential employer is as difficult or even more difficult than the tedious task of impressing your potential employer with your confident voice and facial expressions. Body language is invalid here!
